After 20+ years, coming back to this hobby I wanted to start with a simple kit with no fuss, no intricate details and no crazy camouflage design. Just to get the taste of it.
(And trying out manufacturers I never heard of before)
This is a simple snap fit kit, which doesn’t need any glue, but you are more then welcome to use any. When I bought it, I didn’t realize this, but when I held to box in my hand reading “Snap Fit”, my heart sank. I expected something like Airfix’s lego-esque kits, but I was pleasantly surprised. As it turned out, it’s still a decent model kit with some clever ideas to snap the parts together. (Take note Arifix)
Parts are fairly detailed, cockpit is OK and the general fit was decent.
All this topped off with a good set of decals (as far as I can remember at this point in time).
I highly recommend it as a starter for kids where one wants to avoid the use of glues (more so than Airfix starter sets).
And it even came with its own figure. Well done Zvezda.
