Mid 2020
As my third model, I opted for something more challenging to see how much I would fail (or succeed) with a more intricate camouflage.
Well… it didn’t turn out the way the box art showed it, but for a first, I was relatively satisfied.
I was hesitating between hand painting it, or using the airbrush, but in the end I went with the safer route and did it by hand, freestyle.
The kit itself is mediocre, with bad fits here and there, but at least the panel lines are good and some decent rivet detail.
Overall it’s a good challenge, but I wish they would make a new tooling of it, or someone else could pick up this iconic Italian bird and make it into a better 1/72 kit.
As for the end result…
I definitely need more experience. Either by hand, or with an airbrush.
Anyway, it’s a good excuse to do this one again at some point.
